Camille S Holmes 4AB The main character is Kyle so far. In the very first few pages, we learn that Kyle is a jerk. He only cares about himself and good he looks, and refers to other people as ugly or freaks, and even witch. When we first learn about him, we immediately want to hate him, and when he is turned into a beast, we want to feel no sympathy, saying he deserved it, but by indirect characterization, we learn he's hurting. His dad is never around and we don't know where his mom is. He learned from a young age that he had to beautiful, and only be seen with beautiful people, to be successful in society. I feel bad for him.
The setting of this novel is at his home where his dad left him.I think the setting is important to the novel because if he didn't have that house all to himself and still lived with his dad then he wouldn't have been in a comfortable setting to meet lindy and if he didn't meet lindy he wouldn't have been changed back and he would have been sad and miserable the rest of his life unable to get involved with the outside world. The main characters are kyle, will, lindy, and magda. First kyle,kyle is decribed as a stuck up snob right from the very beginning he only thinks of himself he describes how perfect he is and thinks hes pretty much erresistable this is how he is decribed from all perspectives. Will he is a very important character he was kyle's main friend they got really close and kyle learned a lot from will not just school stuff because he was his tutor in all but he learned how to see past ugly things like that a once cheap white rose is really a beautifull rose and he taught him to not judge people by their looks. Then lindy she is a very important person she is described as a cheap nobody at the beginning and further in the book she turned out to be a very kind generous person who loves to read she is the one who sees past kyle's uggliness that he was turned into she does end up falling in love with him which shows she is a. Very kind person that only does care about what's on the inside overall I think the main character end up being very thoughtfull and help eachother through their problems
